What exactly is the basis of your "fact-check"?
BBC Persian reports "Khamenei said this" — but never states plainly that the regime's official casualty numbers are false and the real toll is far higher.
Yet when it comes to Prince Reza Pahlavi, the tone changes: "We emailed his office asking for names and figures — we received no response."
So a government that hides the numbers gets quoted as news, while the opposition is put in the dock over an unanswered email?
That's the old playbook:
1) Amplify official figures unchallenged
2) Frame the opposition as the one with something to hide
3) Call the whole thing "impartiality"
A fact-check with no baseline isn't journalism — it's narrative management.
Tell us in the comments: what standard should a fact-check actually meet? Share this with someone who still trusts that framing.
