And now Dmitry Shugaev, head of Russia's military industry body, says Moscow is "cooperating" with the Islamic Republic on air defense systems. This is medicine delivered after the funeral. They had no air defense — and Khamenei was struck and killed. Beijing gave no shield. Moscow gave no shield. Begging for air defense in two capitals bought them nothing. A regime that covers its sky with slogans has only one question left: when.
