Transcript Tap any line to jump the video to that moment 0:00 Let's turn to dear Aftin. 0:02 Aftin Vaziri from Texas, who is a guest on the program, and we'll talk with him about the United States election. 0:11 Dear Af-Aftin, greetings to you. I'd like to see what the latest information you have is regarding, 0:18 um, the state of the election, and especially the impact that this Ilhan Omar story is still having on the United States 0:25 election; let's talk about that. 0:27 Dear Arash, greetings to you and greetings to the dear viewers, in—especially inside Iran. 0:33 Right now these, uh, two weeks, these next two weeks will be two very important 0:38 weeks, and, uh, right now we see that Iranians—some of them have really gone all out—are 0:45 going and volunteering in the Paxton campaign. Some of them are volunteering in various campaigns. Right now, 0:50 I was just in a live Space with Ms. Jenny Rhett of California, with the Iran America 0:54 Republican Council; we are, uh, establishing two new chapters of the Iran America Republican Council, and 1:00 Iranians are showing up, but the numbers that are coming are still 1:05 two percent, three percent. Many more people can come, many more people can come and participate. 1:09 Right now, though, Americans are noticing. Right now many of them are saying, how do we get the Iranian vo-vote? 1:15 How do we—for instance, I spoke with the Paxton campaign, I said look, Mr. Lindsey 1:20 Graham, Iranians used to ca-call him Uncle Lindsey. He put this hat on and said Make Iran Great 1:26 Again. You come and talk about how the people of Iran need weapons. You come 1:30 and talk about how the people of Iran need help to wipe out this filthy Islamic Republic. 1:35 You come and talk about how you cannot negotiate with a bunch of backward terrorist thieves who 1:41 aren't human beings. They want to kill both themselves and destroy the world. They aren't human beings, and, 1:46 uh, this, this is the main conversation that is really happening right now, but well, our next two weeks 1:51 are very critical. How important, how important are these few cities that we can flip. 1:57 Meaning it could go either way. But anyway, this Ilhan Omar situation was an interesting 2:01 story. This im-impacted people's thinking, as some in the Majles (parliament) thought 2:07 that they are truly untouchable now. Nobody can touch them. Sure, they obtained their citizenship through 2:12 theft, lies, and through forgery and fraud, but they thought their donkey had crossed 2:17 the, uh, bridge. That nobody would ever come to revoke their citizenship. Now we see that no, still this— 2:23 in this, in this United States there is still the rule of law. There are still people who uphold the law, 2:27 pu-pursue it, and people who obtained passports through theft, lies, fraud, and forgery 2:33 can still have their passports stripped away from them.
Caption Negotiating with terrorists is not an option; the Iranian diaspora's political mobilization is reaching a decisive turning point.
In this broadcast, Aftin Vaziri breaks down the active grassroots involvement of Iranian-Americans in the US elections, expanding political networks, and addressing critical controversies surrounding figures like Ilhan Omar. The message is unequivocal: appeasement of the Islamic Republic must stop, and the opposition's voice must directly shape foreign policy.
