The dollar was 60,000 tomans. Today it's 205,000.
When Pezeshkian took office in summer 2024, the US dollar traded around 58–60 thousand tomans. Today it stands at 205,000 — a jump of roughly 145,000 tomans in two years.
In under 24 months, Iran's currency lost nearly four times its value against the dollar. Nothing in the entire history of the rial–dollar exchange compares.
And still we're told "sanctions don't work."
Fine — assume they don't. The pressure is still dismantling the Islamic Republic from the inside.
The regime is now trapped in a triangle with no fourth exit:
1. Political surrender to Washington
2. War
3. Waiting for economic collapse to arrive on its own
Every road ends the same way. The one under siege is the Islamic Republic — not America.
Save this number. Come back to it in six months.
Which side of the triangle breaks first? Tell us in the comments.
