The UK just read out the Islamic Republic's full rap sheet at the UN — then ended with "we prefer negotiations."
Britain's representative at the UN Security Council delivered a detailed speech today, listing item by item:
▪️ Violations of international law
▪️ Breaches of the NPT and IAEA obligations
▪️ The threat posed to global security
And then, the closing line reset everything back to default.
Only yesterday London signaled support for a wide range of sanctions — even welcoming deterrent strikes on the IRGC and its assets. Yet the diplomatic language keeps the file open, never closed.
This is the old British method: keep the bone in the wound. Don't heal it, don't remove it — just preserve the leverage.
Is this a genuine shift in policy, or the same decades-old game in a new suit? Tell us in the comments.
