Trump's refusal to say "no" IS the message.
When he says "I don't want to do this," what he's really saying is: "not right now." It's neither confirmation nor denial — in political language it's called deliberate strategic ambiguity: your adversary must never see your final intent.
But the accounts — real names, fake names, inside Iran and abroad — rushing to shout "look what Trump said!" are manufacturing exactly the narrative the Islamic Republic needs: that Americans have abandoned the Iranian people.
If the answer were simply no, they would have said no. "I don't know, I don't want to say" means something else entirely — and the same logic applies to the decision about arming the Iranian people.
