"We won in Venezuela — and very soon we'll have a big victory in Iran too."
That's Trump's own wording.
Three lines worth reading twice:
▪️ Venezuela framed as a finished win, Iran as the next one — a promised "big victory" with no definition of what victory means.
▪️ "Our confrontation with the Islamic Republic is not subject to any timetable" — a direct answer to speculation that pressure would be delayed by election calculations. It continues as long as needed.
▪️ "The Iranians treat their own people very badly and kill a great many protesters."
His own conclusion: both economic war and military strikes work.
The contradiction lands immediately: Axios, citing Secretary of State Marco Rubio, reports that new strikes on Iran are not currently on the agenda.
So which signal is real — the promise of a "big victory," or the cooling from the State Department?
Tell us in the comments which one you believe.
